Since 2010, Jeremy P. Ämick has been sharing the stories of service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans. His work has been featured in several newspapers, in national magazines and on the website War History Online. He is the author of four military historical books: Jefferson City at War: 1916-1975; Cole County, Missouri at War: 1861-1975; the World War I novel Soldierly Devotion; and, The Lucky Ones: Legacy of a WWII Tank Destoyer. Ämick has recently completed a book about James Shipley, a Tipton, Mo., resident who served as a mechanic with the Tuskegee Airmen during the Second World War. Additionally, he has also completed work on Missouri at War, a book which will be released in the coming months and highlights Missouri's military history through postcards. He makes his home in Russellville, Mo., with his wife, Tina and their Irish Terrier, Sherman. In his spare time, he enjoys reading about the Cold War, collecting comic books and listening to vintage music on vinyl.
